Wommin Bay Village is a not-for-profit low care community hostel that is also a fully accredited aged care facility. Our mission is to provide ongoing quality community-based Aged Care for the Tweed Valley now and into the future. We offer a safe, secure, informed and enjoyable environment for residents, families and staff in which a holistic and progressive approach to care is adopted.

MISSION STATEMENT
- To ensure that Wommin Bay Village provides accomodation the residents can be proud to call their home and where they can welcome their friends and family
- To provide a safe, secure, informed and enjoyable environment for residents, families and staff in which a holistic and progressive approach to care is adopted
- To ensure that all residents have the right to maintain their independence as long as they wish, knowing that support and care is available
- To ensure that the services continue to function as an integral part of the community
- To provide care and support to aged people who reuire residential care and are appropriately assessed according to Governement legislation
The village is surrounded by gardens and is just a few minutes walk away from the beach in Kingscliff, just south of Tweed Heads on the NSW-Queensland border.
The village provides quality care for 67 permanent residents in five large cottages. Each resident has their own private room with en-suite facilities as well as individual reverse cycle air conditioning. Each cottage has a communal lounge with comfy chairs and TV as well as dining facilities.
Facilities residents enjoy include:
- Special diets catered from the on-site central kitchen
- A commercial laundry that takes care of all washing needs
- A spacious multi-function room with TV, books and games
- A multi denominational chapel
- Outside covered grass areas with barbeques and table seating
The village has a central kitchen and community centre and all residents’ meals are cooked onsite and special diets are catered for. The village’s commercial laundry handles all of the residents’ washing needs.
In addition there are three respite rooms available, as well as a 10-bed, special-care unit in a secure area. |
