Welcome to Wommin Bay Village

"Our heart is in the care we give"

Wommin Bay Village is a not-for-profit community hostel situated in park-like grounds minutes’ walk to the beach in Kingscliff, just south of Tweed Heads on the NSW-Queensland border.

The village offers quality care for 67 permanent residents. All the rooms are private with their own ensuites as well as individual air conditioning. In addition there are three respite rooms available. All meals are cooked onsite and special diets are catered for.

The facility has applied for and has just being awarded a further 18 high-care beds in 2007 to further the ageing in place that already exists within the facility. Planning will commence soon for the housing of these 18 beds.

The village consists of four large cottages and two 15-bed units. The cottages and the units have their own lounge and kitchen areas.  There is a commercial size laundry on site where the residents washing is attended.

There is also a spacious multi-function room and chapel. There are regular church services for most denominations

Outside there are grassed garden areas and plenty of spots to soak up the fresh sea air and sunshine.

A recent feature is a walkway and viewing platform overlooking the nearby beach - a very popular place to visit.

The village also has a 10-bed, special-care unit - a dementia-specific secure area.

Wommin Bay Village is a fully-accredited aged care facility.
